A Day in the Life of a Student

I wake up in the morning,

Hurriedly getting ready.

This is just the beginning,

Great, the bus left already!

Then comes the morning assembly,

With the national anthem and the pledge.

Boredom overcomes me,

Already longing for the day to end.

Hours of studying and tests,

Presentations and lectures.

Without a moment of rest,

The threat of an uncertain future.

I will miss this one day, I know.

But that day is not today.

All I want is to have fun and let go,

And throw every last care away!
