That's my skin.

But here in India,

Why is it such a sin?

Fair girl wanted on every site,

Whether Tinder or Shaadi.com .

Why this crazy obsession with white,

In a land where brown is the norm?

And then there's Fair and Lovely,

The undisputed star.

Deepening our insecurity,

Making us doubt who we are.

So say it firmly,

Say it louder.

We are dark and lovely,

And we couldn't be prouder.
